How often do we get to see people dancing among shoppers in a mall?
Come October 13, shoppers at ION Orchard can rejoice with an immersive dance experience in an unexpected space. Titled the NOISE x GTM Showcase, this programme by the National Arts Council features 15 youth dancers from diverse dance backgrounds, brought together by a Learning Camp that took place last month.
Through their performance, they will showcase how they navigate public spaces and interact and engage with audiences through movement, adding vitality to these spaces.
The programme, a collaboration between NOISE and Got to Move, aims to connect youth communities across the diverse range of dance disciplines and give youths the opportunity to learn other aspects of dance facilitated by established dance companies Frontier Danceland and TRDO (The Royal Dance Off). And how they can use dance to further activate unconventional performance spaces and connect with their audiences.
