Global phenomenon KAWS:HOLIDAY to make a grand appearance in Singapore

On 13 November 2021, Singapore’s distinct skyline will see a unique addition as KAWS:HOLIDAY touches down for its seventh stop!

Working with longtime collaborator and supported by Singapore Tourism Board, the internationally-celebrated artist KAWS will be unveiling a colossal 42m-long artwork depicting his signature character, COMPANION, in a reclined position embracing a miniature version of itself.

Since 2018, KAWS’ HOLIDAY has toured Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Japan, Outer Space and the United Kingdom.

As part of HOLIDAY’s goal to promote public appreciation of the arts, and fresh from its flight in the skies of the English countryside, the widely acclaimed KAWS:HOLIDAY will be bringing the global phenomenon to Singapore.

Having amassed a significant fanbase in the little red dot, KAWS is inviting all to witness his beloved characters on a monumental scale.

From 13 – 21November 2021, KAWS:HOLIDAY SINGAPORE will be on display at the iconic The Float @ Marina Bay, where it will open to the public from 14 November.
KAWS said: “At a time when international travel may be challenging for many, I am thankful for the opportunity through the ongoing HOLIDAY project to bring art experiences to different localities, and I am excited to come to Singapore for the first time.”

KAWS:HOLIDAY SINGAPORE will mark the last monumental event for The Float @ Marina Bay, a favoured choice for many significant national events over the past few years.

With plans for its redevelopment set to begin in March 2022, this makes the KAWS:HOLIDAY stop one for the history books.

“KAWS:HOLIDAY SINGAPORE” Collection Global Debut

To commemorate this journey, a series of limited-edition collectibles have also been created for the KAWS:HOLIDAY SINGAPORE.

A 10.5-inch long COMPANION that comes in brown, grey and black, 500 limited-edition camping sets, tank top and fan will be available only on DDT Store ddtstore.com at 11am SGT on 13 Nov 2021, while stock lasts. Shipping begins in December, 2021.
