Museum of Ice Cream introduces Sambal Chilli Ice Cream

Give your buds a spicy treat this Lunar New Year, as Museum of Ice Cream premieres its latest flavour in collaboration with local communities that will entice you into coming back for more.

Taste the limited edition Sambal Chilli Ice Cream, created in an exclusive collaboration between Museum of Ice Cream with Batu Lesung Spice Company and Open Farm Community, from 15 january to 15 February 2023.

Made with roasted sambal belachan from Batu Lesung Spice Company, dive into this creamy delight laced with the iconic spicy flavour of Singapore. This is your chance to experience the well- loved traditional sambal paste in ice cream form.

Batu Lesung Spice Company continues to make its sambal the traditional way, with finely crushed red chilli peppers which are then fermented and sun-dried to deliver unadulterated, authentic flavours.

This spicy collaboration is just one of many ways Museum of Ice Cream continues to support local brands and businesses by putting them in the spotlight to new audiences.

It hopes to create everlasting connections among loved ones by bringing extraordinary new experiences to guests.

Auspiciously launched this festive period, this curious collaboration with Batu Lesung Spice Company and Open Farm Community is the result of a shared passion for using local produce to create delightfully innovative culinary experiences, and to foster togetherness.

Batu Lesung’s versatile sambal chilli paste is well known for its bold and complex flavours, while Open Farm Community’s conscious efforts to source locally and around the region, marries sustainable passion and gastronomic flair.

The Sambal Chilli Ice Cream will be available at the Museum of Ice Cream in the Craft Room, as part of the experience when you visit the museum, for one month only from 15 January to 15 February 2023.

The same roasted Belachan Sambal that goes into the making of the ice cream can be purchased at Open Farm Community for $12 a bottle throughout this period.
