Record-breaking food clay art at Bukit Batok Festival 2024

Setting a Singapore Book of Records (SBOR) comes in small sizes, as small as 2cm.

Bukit Batok East residents came together in a feat to enter the Singapore Book of Records (SBOR) – in a small way, literally.

Creating the “Largest Display of Food Clay Art Model”, the mini clay artworks are the fruits of labour from Bukit Batok East and Toh Guan residents.

Two hundred food clay models showed over 50 food varieties, representing the wide-ranging palettes of local and international cuisines such as ice kacang, nyonya kuehs, ramen noodles and pizza, which were on display at the Bukit Batok East PAssionArts Festival 2024, held on 27 July at Toh Guan Park.

It also brings this year’s PassionArts Festival’s theme, “Palettes of Joy,” to residents in small bite sizes.

It speaks volumes of the community’s favourite foods and, importantly, connects residents to art through the joy of mini food clay art.
