At the ITB Asia 2024 exhibition in Singapore, the Almaty Tourism Department presented a captivating array of the city’s cultural heritage and tourism opportunities.
This international showcase positioned Almaty prominently on the world stage, generating strong interest from tourists and industry experts in the distinct cultural and natural beauty that both Almaty and Kazakhstan have to offer.
The Almaty booth brought together top tour operators, presenting an array of travel experiences — from exploring the city’s deep-rooted history to embarking on scenic journeys through stunning landscapes.
Visitors learnt about popular routes, including tours of historic landmarks and unique eco-tours around Almaty’s picturesque surroundings.
Among the highlights was a series of cultural experiences crafted especially for exhibition attendees.
A dombyra player performed traditional Kazakh music, drawing guests into the heart of Kazakh culture.
Attendees were also treated to samples of national delicacies, showcasing Kazakhstan’s hospitality and culinary traditions.
The booth included a photo zone with traditional Kazakh costumes, allowing visitors to capture souvenir photos in local attire.
Guests could dress as Kazakh warriors or in traditional Kazakh dress and print their photos on-site — a favourite activity among exhibition-goers.
The Almaty Tourism Department’s presence at ITB Asia 2024 marked a milestone in promoting Almaty’s tourism potential on the global market.
