SINGAPORE: A survey by Xero, the global small business platform (ranked No. 1 by Forbes as the World’s Most Innovative Growth Company for two years running), revealed that most SMEs face cashflow problems. The three causes attributed to the problems are the lack of accounting knowledge, unable to collect payment and not using the latest technologies.
Xero, the title sponsor of the Accounting and Finance Show, will also give a keynote address on “Small businesses run the World”. The Show will highlight the latest accountancy practices, technology and solutions presented by experts, advisors and consultants at the Suntec Convention Centre from 16 to 17 October 2018. The Show is organised with support from Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) and Workforce Singapore (WSG).
SAC’s keynote address at the Show will be on “Digital Transformation for Accountancy”. IMDA will touch on “E-invoicing Initiative” while WSG will speak on “Transform and Grow for Employers”.
Ms Sharon Roessen, Managing Director of Terrapinn, the event organiser, said: “Xero will be demonstrating its solution which is an easy-to-use online platform for small businesses at the Show. Besides Xero, there will be over 150 seminars and 70 exhibitors showcasing the latest technology solutions for accountants in business and in practice at this free to attend conference and exhibition.”
The two-day Show will feature prominent speakers from the industry.
