The Almaty Tourism Department took centre stage at the ITB Asia 2024 exhibition in Singapore, showcasing the city’s rich cultural heritage and diverse tourism opportunities.
Almaty’s presence at this international event spotlighted the city on a global platform, drawing attention from tourists and travel industry leaders to the unique cultural and natural wonders of both Almaty and Kazakhstan.
The Almaty booth featured the city’s top tour operators, who presented a broad range of travel options —from historical tours highlighting the city’s heritage to thrilling adventures across stunning natural landscapes.
Visitors were introduced to popular travel routes, including excursions to historic landmarks and one-of-a-kind eco-tours in Almaty’s scenic surroundings.
Cultural events were a key attraction at Almaty’s booth. A dombyra musician performed traditional Kazakh melodies, creating an immersive experience of Kazakh culture. Visitors were also invited to sample authentic Kazakh cuisine, providing them a taste of the country’s renowned hospitality.
Additionally, a photo zone with traditional Kazakh costumes allowed attendees to take memorable photos.
Visitors could try on the national attire, capturing themselves as Kazakh warriors or beauties, and take printed photos with them — a highlight among exhibition activities.
The Almaty Tourism Department’s participation in ITB Asia 2024 marks a significant step in promoting the city’s tourism appeal to the global market.
The Department said it remains committed to attracting international tourists and fostering cultural exchanges, working to make Almaty an increasingly popular destination for travellers worldwide.
