Chocolate Trail @ Harbour City in Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s Harbour City Shopping Mall will host its annual mega event Chocolate Trail from 25 January  to 25 February  This year, it has collaborated with Japanese miniature artist Tatsuya Tanaka, who has more than one million followers on Instagram, for hosting the “mini CHOCOllection” miniature exhibition.

Harbour City will also host The Sound of Chocolate Art Exhibition to feature Vinyl Records created by French artist Julia Drouhin that are made of chocolates.

Moreover, Harbour City will launch “Chocolate Tasting Bar” for the first time, introducing nine all-new chocolate brands to this event – four of which have received international chocolate awards. Upon purchase or redemption of “Chocolate Trail e-Pass”, customers can choose their favourite out of 65 chocolates and desserts available at the “Chocolate Tasting Bar” and 16 other participating brands.

mini CHOCOllection miniature exhibition

The “mini CHOCOllection” theme will transform Atrium II, Gateway Arcade, into a “Chocolate MINI Hong Kong”. Tatsuya will display 32 miniature art pieces, including 10 brand-new art pieces, for the 32-day event. Art pieces include the theme of Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year’s Eve, Chinese
New Year’s Day nd Seventh Day of Chinese New Year (Renri).

This is the first exhibition that Tatsuya curated with a specific theme which includes Hong Kong elements such as Dai Pai Dong, Old Tenements and Food Truck. All these art pieces are exclusive for this exhibition, which is free and open to the public. 

By donating HK$40, customers can become one of the miniature characters and take photos in the chocolate scene prepared by Tatsuya in “CHOCOllection Studio”. Photos will be printed on “CHOCOllection Stickers” instantly and will be shown in the “Chocolate MINI Hong Kong”.

Various types of premiums would be also available in Tatsuya’s pop-up store including puzzles, photography collection and exclusive premiums. All proceeds will be donated to the Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation after cost deduction.

The Sound of Chocolate Art Exhibition

To harmonise with the Chocolate Trail, The Sound of Chocolate Art Exhibition presents Vinyl Records created by French Australian artist Julia Drouhin that are made of chocolate. This is the first time she is putting traditional Cantonese pop songs into her art pieces.

Chocolate Tasting Bar

Harbour City will launch “Chocolate Tasting Bar” for the first time and have chocolate connoisseur Katie Chan to introduce nine all-new chocolate brands to this event,  four of which have received

Chocolate Trail e-Pass

Harbour City has launched the “Chocolate Trail e-Pass” again this year. Customers can purchase this for HK$240 or redeem it with designated spending. Customers can use 12 tasting tokens to redeem at “Chocolate Tasting Bar” or taste chocolate and desserts from the following16 participating
brands: Blesscuit Bakery, Frederic Blondeel, Gavottes, Godiva Chocolatier, Häagen-Dazs, Hotel
Chocolat, I CREMERiA, La Station, Le Cafe de Joël Robuchon, Leonidas Pralines, Luna Cake Premium, Paul Lafayet, The BonBonist, The Peninsula Boutique, Venchi and zChocolat.
