The Diplomatic Council (DC), a global think tank, world-leading business network and charitable foundation having consultative status with the United Nations, launched a new mission in Singapore on March 22.
At the function held at Rumah Malaysia, the official residence of Malaysia’s Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Zulkifli Adnan, who is also a member of the DC’s Board of Presidents, Irene Ho, the founder of The Luxury Network Singapore, was appointed head of the DC mission in Singapore.
More than 150 guests, including ambassadors, investors, business owners, decision-makers, socialites, representatives of government agencies and journalists, attended the reception, which was supported by partners and members of The Luxury Network Singapore.
Hang Nguyen, DC’s secretary-general, kick-started the ceremony by speaking about the formation of the DC and the role it plays in bringing together diplomats and businessmen. She also elaborated on its charity work.
Later, United States DC President Daniel McKee spoke about the council’s activities in the US and explained what the Diplomatic Council Advisory & Professional Services (DCAPS) is all about. With support from DC’s global network, DCAPS offers management consulting services focused on solving complex challenges through on-demand, agile and multi-disciplinary teams.
Ho and Christopher Cheah, the new Chairman of DC’s Singapore mission, then gave an overview of their duties and plan for the Singapore mission.
