Hailing from a family with deep roots in Jaipur’s bejewelled heritage, Agarwal combines a rich legacy with a forward-thinking approach, infusing every piece with unmatched artistry and innovation.
Agarwal’s journey into the world of gems began at the age of eight when his grandfather entrusted him with sorting a few diamonds, sparking a lifelong fascination with the brilliance of these stones. This early experience set the stage for his illustrious career.
After his degree in Commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai, Agarwal pursued formal training in jewellery design and gemology at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), where he was recognised as the “Student of the Year.” He further honed his craft with certifications from the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and a prestigious internship at Tiffany in 2005, gaining invaluable insights into the nuances of the global jewellery industry.
In 2006, Agarwal joined the family business, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas, one of India’s most esteemed jewellery brands with a global clientele. He quickly made his mark by introducing groundbreaking collections such as Adrishya — jewellery with invisible settings, Aranya — a tribute to nature, Amer — inspired by Rajasthan’s architecture,and Ada — celebrating iconic Indian women.
