The Sultanate of Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has invited investors to submit their proposals to manage, operate and develop Port Khasab and Port Shinas.
These investment opportunities include the land owned by the ports and many facilitations and features, including services in anchoring points and running shipping lines between Oman and global ports.
Additionally, maintenance and ship services, catering and free market activities will be allowed.
The Ministry invites all interested investors based on a concession agreement to e-mail their proposals to the Director-General of Ports at The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology at [email protected]
Port Khasab is strategically location near Hurmuz strait and considered an active commercial artery in tourism and commerce.
The port is also equipped with basic infrastructure, such as breakwater and commercial berths, to deal with the growing business flow from neighboring countries.
Occasionally, the port handles tourist boats and cruises visiting Musandam Governorate.
Port Shinas is one of the vital ports revitalising domestic trade between North Al Batinah North and Musandam states.
Fish, livestock, agriculture products and goods are transferred Port Shinas.
