The StarHub Football Festival, a vibrant celebration of football and community spirit, concluded its two-day event at Our Tampines Hub on April 21, after the Singapore Legends scored a thrilling 4-2 victory over the English Premier League Legends.
Guest-of-Honour, Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli, said: “The Starhub Football Festival at Our Tampines Hub brings together the community through sports. I am very encouraged to see such a talented group of people whose passion for the game, particularly the young participants in the U12 and U16 clinics, are not only learning about football but also about teamwork and community.”
Organised by World Football Legends in collaboration with StarHub, the festival attracted over 5,000 people and featured a host of activities aimed at fostering community ties and promoting sportsmanship.
Key highlights included coaching clinics for children under the age of 12 and 16.
“Aligned with our “Football for All” initiative, our vision for the StarHub Football Festival has always been to create an event to celebrate our love of the sport while cultivating the next generation of footballers,” said Johan Buse, Head of Consumer Business Group at StarHub. “We are heartened to see the strong support by the public for the festival, which affirms our belief that the future of the sport lies with youths – athletes and fans alike – and we hope to spur their passion.”

Proceeds from the event went to local charities, including the Free Food For All, Dyslexic Association and HCA Hospice Care, totalling $20,000. This contribution underscores the festival’s commitment to making a lasting impact beyond the football field.
