Singapore Rugby Carnival in full swing

The final countdown to the third edition of the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens is on. With just over three weeks to go, rugby fever is sweeping across the Lion City through the first ever Singapore Rugby Carnival where ticket holders can enjoy an array of special offers across the city.

Fans with tickets to Rock, Ruck, and Rumbleat the biggest celebration of rugby in Southeast Asia simply need to activate their two-day pass on the official event website to access a wide range of promotions across 70 establishments at 201 outlets, most of which are valid until Monday, 30 April 2018, but with some offers running through till end May. Pan Pacific Hotels Group, the Official Hotel Partner of the Singapore Sevens since the tournament’s inception in 2016, is offering a 20% discount off total restaurant bills at all participating restaurant outlets at Pan Pacific Singapore, PARKROYAL on Pickering, PARKROYAL Beach Road, and PARKROYAL on Kitchener. In addition, rugby fans get a 15% discount for stays at Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL hotels and serviced suites.

For those who love snacking on Bakkwa king Bee Cheng Hiang’s mouthwatering range, their promotional offer of two 60g Mini Crunchies for $9.90 (usual price $16) starts from the 9 April.

Singapore Sevens is known as the family sevens, and young children can look forward to an action-packed two days of kids’ entertainment programmes. Three of Hasbro’s most-loved brands – The Transformers, Nerf and My Little Pony – will thrill youths with their interactive immersive zones. The Superdudes, Spartan Singapore and Strider Bikes, as well as an ‘Under-the-sea’ adventure for the younger kids, will also feature to ensure a fun weekend for the entire family.

But, before the rugby action gets underway, ticket holders can take their loved ones to Sentosa for a day or month out in the sun. HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens, International Sports Event of the Year at the Singapore Sports Awards in 2016, is stop 8 of the 10-leg HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. 16 of the world’s top teams will be in town, including defending champion Canada, as well as the traditional powerhouses Fiji, New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia.

Kenya were surprise first-time winners of the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens in 2016. The 2017 final was an all North American affair as Canada beat the United States 26-19 in a pulsating final. Tickets are available at www.singapore7s.sg.
