Smoke & Mirrors will celebrate the official launch of Rojak Gin and Chendol Gin on Wednesday (July 10). For only one night, imbibe the concoctions made by Compendium’s Brand Ambassador Vic Ram and Assistant Bar Manager of Potato Head Lakesh Waren, who will be behind the bar alongside Smoke & Mirrors’ Head Bartender Jorge A. Conde.
Compendium produces Rojak Gin and Chendol Gin and was created by Rachelle the Rabbit Meadery’s founder Simon Zhao and Brand Ambassador Vic. Both crafted bottles of gin celebrate the local flavours of Singapore, with Rojak Gin using fermented and distilled honey and Chendol Gin using distilled gula melaka, which results in a smooth and softer finish.
Vic will be mixing things up with five cocktails, including Memory Lane made with Rojak Gin, ice cream soda, Peychaud bitters and grass jelly.
The Breakfast Negroni features Rojak Gin, Campari and coffee-infused vermouth blend, while the Time to Neera is made with Chendol Gin, neera syrup, double kick mead, chunco bitters and a splash of soda water.
The Mango Curry sees a mix of Chendol Gin, Campari, lemon juice, mango & curry leaf syrup and ginger beer. The Classic but NOT features Chendol Gin mixed with classic chendol for a playful twist.
Jorge has also concocted an exclusive tipple to celebrate the launch called the Rojak Milk Punch, made with Rojak Gin, Spiced Pechuga, milk, citrics, ginger torch aroma and peanuts.
Guests can enjoy the spectacular view of the National Day Parade set-up at the outdoor seating at Smoke & Mirrors that overlooks the Padang. Perched on the rooftop of the National Gallery Singapore, Smoke & Mirrors is known for its
spectacular panoramic views of Singapore’s skyline.
Celebrate the local flavours of Singapore with the delicious concoctions made with Rojak Gin and Chendol Gin, all priced at S$20 nett, perfect to commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial.
