Tiffin Room delivers Indian street delicacies

Step into the bustling streets of India as award-winning Chef de Cuisine Kuldeep Negi delivers a culinary journey at Tiffin Room like no other with his showcase of renowned street food specialities.

This limited-time menu, Street Food Festival, draws inspiration from Chef Kuldeep’s heritage and extensive travel across India, offering guests a flavourful journey to discover iconic street food in a multi-course experience.

Introducing a rich and evocative gastronomic journey through India’s diverse melting pot of flavours, the experience commences with Dahi Puri, Mumbai’s beloved sweet and savoury street snack, as a warm welcome from Chef Kuldeep.

This marks a fitting start, brimming with a seamless amalgamation of flavours, accompanied by a refreshing mint coriander beverage. The culinary journey continues with Akki Roti, a local speciality of Karnataka, comprising rice flour flatbread elevated with coconut, and prepared together with crispy fried prawns and fresh tomato coconut chutney, or its vegetarian alternative that features Indian cottage cheese in place of prawns.

Showcasing Mumbai’s favourite pav, the Kheema Pav features soft, fluffy buns filled with Maharashtrian-style minced lamb curry accompanied by pickled onion, chilli and garlic chutney for an added flavour and texture dimension, while Vada Pav, from the vegetarian menu, contains Maharashtrian-style deep-fried spiced potato.

Savour flavourful main course specialities and travel to Delhi with Murgh Taka Tak with Amritsari Kulcha & Khatti Methi Chutney. Succulent boneless chicken leg is prepared Delhi-style with onions and tomatoes with the popular Punjabi street food of kulcha naan stuffed with potato, onion and spices, and complemented with sweet and sour tamarind chutney.

The vegetarian menu presents an equally delectable option of Choley Masala with Amritsari Kulcha and Khatti Methi Chutney. Punjabi-style chickpea curry is paired with kulcha naan stuffed with potato, onion and spices, coupled with a sweet and tangy tamarind chutney.

Rounding off the street food feast on a sweet note, look forward to Kesar Jalebi with Basundi, a traditional well-loved North Indian street snack boasting beautiful, golden, crunchy spiral-shaped snacks to be enjoyed with sweet thickened milk flavoured with cardamom and mixed nuts.
